About quillpoweronline

I'm an editor at Quillpower PR Publishing. Specialising in 'things that are lovely and of good report'. I work with writers to gently brush away irrelevancies to reveal the buried treasure, or chisel meaning from a block of text. As an accredited editor (Inst. Prof. Editors Ltd) with experience in advertising, public relations, news and feature writing and editing for all media I help communicators put a professional shine on their message. But here on the blog, it's after hours, and I may do an elongated tweet every now and then, point up an absurdity, or simply post one of my ancient scribbles before it and I crumble into dust. BTW, WordPress chooses the ads (if any) on my blog. Quid pro quo.

  1. Mr WordPress says:

    Hi, this is a comment.
To delete a comment, just log in, and view the posts’ comments, there you will have the option to edit or delete them.

    • I had sent a magnificent reply to Mr WordPress, like, ‘What? Why on earth would I want to delete my very first, virgin comment? No way.’ (That’s the abridged version.) But I was then a total innocent about this sophisticated self-talk, and returning many moons later (having recalled that in the dim dark past I had allowed myself to be coerced into writing a blog post here), I felt it was a little immature. So I deleted it — by mistake, of course — that is, I realised it was a mistake the moment I deleted it, and that ‘first, fine, careless rapture’ was replaced by self-think not as sophisticated as it could have been. If I had to be coerced into describing it, I would say it sounded painfully like Charlie Drake singing (for want of a better word) ‘My boomerang won’t come back’.
(Let’s see what Google tags makes of that!)
